H.O.P.E. is a non-profit, state and federally registered 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 1978. H.O.P.E. is not affiliated with any religious organization. Our office is located in the Moorestown Community House at 16 E. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ,08057. Our phone number is (856) 234-2200.
There are chapters in multiple locations in seven counties in New Jersey. We also offer virtual chapters via ZOOM for anyone in the United States needing grief support. For details on each, see the Locations page.
Organization
Board of Trustees
A board of trustees oversees the H.O.P.E. program and assures adherence to H.O.P.E. by-laws and policies.
Staff
The H.O.P.E. staff consists of the following:
Office Manager and Office Coordinator
These part-time employees work in our Moorestown office aiding the Board, Chapters, Leaders, and members. They are often the first contact for new widows and widowers reaching out for help.
Office Volunteers
This dedicated band of volunteers helps staff the office and assist the Office Coordinator in accomplishing tasks.
Chapter Group Coordinators and Leaders
These volunteers are the true heroes of H.O.P.E. They present the H.O.P.E. curriculum to participants and facilitate each group session. And they are often the sympathetic shoulder on which many people cry. They are graduates of the program who have undergone additional training.
