Lucien's Manor

Berlin, NJ

Over two hundred H.O.P.E. graduates, group leaders, chapter coordinators, office volunteers, board members, and friends of H.O.P.E. enjoyed an afternoon of good food, good company, and reunion at Lucienís in Berlin on a sunny March Saturday as together we celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of our organization.†

Committee chairman Cheryl Smith welcomed everyone and H.O.P.E. graduate Rev. Sandra Baker offered the invocation.† Founding Executive Director Betty Rice provided a retrospective, Program Director Barbara Kassekert led the gathering in honoring all who make the program possible, and Board Chairman Wayne Thomas recognized several in the community for their long-time support of H.O.P.E. including our host churches and agencies.†

Over forty door prizes donated by local businesses and individuals were awarded by Executive Director Barbara Winiarski.† Finally, Sunny Lawrence was honored on the occasion of her retirement from over twenty-five years with H.O.P.E. as group leader, chapter coordinator, executive director, and program director.

Several copies of the commemorative program are still available at the H.O.P.E. office.
